Question ~
I saw two different ps and they both did not want to use high profile implants. I am having a redo and a lift. I currently have moderate profile 390 o/f to 420. the diameter is 13 cm and the projection is 4.5. I don’t mind the 13 cm around but I would like more projection. Should I insist? I am about 125 lbs, 5’6″ and I am in a 34 DD – the DD is because the diameter is large, my breasts just barely fit into the DD cup. Do any of you regret your high profiles?
Answer ~
I think it is very important to factor in what your revision is all really about — why are you in need of a lift at this point? Most likely because your tissue did not hold the origian weight of the 390 – 420′s well – so now the lift will seek to remove the saggy, excess skin and get the nipple back above the inframammary fold – - which means that the breast skin envelope will have to be smaller (with incisions that need oxygen supply to heal well. So just placing any implant is going to put stress and weight on this new, perky breast envelope – - let alone a High Profile implant that will add more FORCE onto the lift area and possibly cause more healing problems.

And if two ps already said no, please rethink your ultimate goals. The key to success with breast implants is balancing what you want with what your body will realistically allow you to have with out damaging your tissue.
