All Breast Implant patients know this (“How do I know what size implant to use?”) is an issue – they know something is fishy about the current methods of determining size – they see their surgeons and go home just as confused and unsure as they were before their consults waking up at 3 am wondering if the surgeon really understood what they wanted – they know something is wrong – they just don’t have a viable solution…..just read through this thread of how they determined size and how they feel about their decisions……
Whether it is 590 cc – 425cc – 360cc or 270 cc……how will you ever know it is what your body needs if your body is not considered in the preoperative planning? The High Five System is a published and proven system that eliminates the grey area in breast implant sizing.
Question & responses ~
1. Ok…I told people about me getting a BA done. I said the size of bra I would like to fill and that I would leave it up to my plastic surgeon for the final plans. If he thought it was ok, then great! If he didnt and thought I should go smaller, than that was fine too. After my consult and pre-op visit, my PS said that I could do a full D/ small double D and thats what me planed and agreed apon. Now when I told my family members whom have already had a BS done, they flipped out like none other and called me crazy. neither shared the exact stats or amount of present breast tissue that I had. I knew that I shouldnt listen to them but it did way on me. I followed trough with my plans and trusted my plastic surgeon how has had 5 35 years doing his job. When all was said and done and my family asked how many cc’s in each breast, I told them it was 590. This brought on more negativity towards me..But you know what, my breast look great and proportion to my body so well that it looks (even when swollen) natural. So my point behind this I have noticed some people posting about what others think or say to them, I say follow what your heart tells you and listen to your breast implant surgeons. It pays off. Good luck to everyone who is about to take a huge step..Remember what the outcome brings and the nerves will settle.
2. Thanks for posting this. I too am telling people that when I go for my redo on Monday I”m going up in size. Preferably big C small D and a lot are just thinking I’m crazy. Thank you for reinforcing everything I already knew in my head. My nerves have been going like crazy. But the good kind of nerves. Congrats!
3. I choose 360 and did not tell anyone but my bfrind/ He suggested 425cc’s hahahahahh but I trusted myself and I love them. I am 3 days out halleluyah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. So glad you posted this- I focused to much on cc amount last time. I am having a redo on Monday and have told him what I do not want ( to look like a stripper-lol) but I was putting all my trust in him to pick a size.
Answer ~
All of you are right and yet still wrong at the same time. As long as the implant size is determined by you and your ps based on ANYTHING other than the measurements of your breast envelope …….you will never be able to be sure that it is truly the right size for you an that it will give you a natural appearing breast that will cause you the least amount of trouble long term.
Grey area exists because surgical decisions are not being made based on the BODY that is going to have the operation.
Using cup size, sizers, 3D imaging, Rice tests, photos of others ….are all easy because they are familiar – yet how many times have we read on here that those methods were used and yet patients are still not satisfied??? They are easy but not accurate.
There is only one right amount of volume for each woman’s breast that will make it pretty and natural and give you the best chance of a good, long term result. I don’t know how in the world you ever find that amount – that right size – if you don’t measure the breast!
You can read more about How to Determine Size and the scientifically proven and published High Five System of Measurement on our book website at www.thebestbreast.com – there are articles on the front page and several chapters too.
Choosing to have Breast Implants will change your body forever – for life….wouldn’t you like to have a little more certainty going into your operation than just telling your ps you want a “full C”??? Something to think about to ensure you’re getting the best breast implants…..
