Question~
I want to know everything about the shaped gummy implants. How the breasts move, how they feel, can u see outlines of them? Where are they placed on you? Do they sag, are they heavy, do they ripple? Have you had other implants before these?
Answer ~
I think the most important thing to realize about an implant – any implant – is it is just a device – a thing – the decisions made around how to USE the device will be what determines most of the answers to your questions.
For example, do gummy implants sag? All implants, all breasts (natural or implanted) will sag over time because we walk instead of float – gravity. What makes an implant sag faster…..WEIGHT…..the bigger they are, the harder they fall. So it’s not the type of implant that effects sagging, it’s the size and weight.
Will the edges show? Not the implants fault….this is a soft coverage issue – and thus a pocket location issue. IF you have less than 2 cm of soft tissue in the upper breast, then you need more coverage over any device to help prevent seeing and feeling the edges.
I hope with these couple of examples you will understand that a good, pretty result is not about the implant alone, it is all about two things – 1. how the implant is used – the choices you make with your plastic surgeon- that is what the The Best Breast 2 (written by one of the best breast augmentation surgeons) will really help you with. It will walk you through all the pros and cons so you can make really smart decisions with your ps! And 2. What you bring the surgeon to work with initially – what is your breast envelop like? How much stretch? How is the tissue – thick or thin? Is it wide or narrow in base width?
If you go into breast augmentation with a clear understanding and strong education foundation, you will make better choices and get a better result that you will be happier with because you did not put all your eggs in one basket……banking on a product or device to produce a desired result!
