Hi Terrye,
I have had you answer my questions several times on implantinfo and are most grateful, actually I recently posted a question on the Pre-opp forum about smooth and textured implants (so I hope you can get to that when you get a chance! I imagine you are very busy!), I am just curious to see how it compares to how my surgen plans on doing mine! (his measurements follow the high 5 rules, and his surgeries sound very sure.)
Thank you so much for all you amazing advice!

There is an implant chapter in the book – most of it is only line. There is so much information about the history of txt vs smooth and how the fillers interact….to get the whole picture you need to read that.
In a nut shell – textured implants used to be thought to be the key in reducing capsular contracture. Now we know that there are 3 things that affect capsule formation – how you heal, the device rate and how the surgery is done – with our 24 Hour Recovery techniques and bloodless dissection, we have a 1.5% capsular contracture rate and we know this is a product of our 24 hour efforts.
So as I keep saying over and over again – it is not about the DEVICE (whether you get a natural look or a boob job, or whether you get a capsule or not) – it is all about how the device is USED.
